Balanced Assessment System
¾«¶«´«Ã½ employs a Balanced Assessment System. This encompasses a variety of assessments that yield different types of data. These data serve different purposes and are used to drive both long-term and short-term instruction. Each type of assessment found within the Balanced Assessment System is given at different intervals throughout the year, with some being multiple times per year and others being given only once. Some of the assessments found within the Balanced Assessment System may be reflected in a student's report card grade while others are only used for instructional planning purposes.
Universal screeners are used to give a broad view of the overall health of core instruction for all students.
Diagnostic assessments are used to provide information about how much a student knows about a standard, skill, or specific topic.
Classroom assessments are used to collect detailed information that educators can use to monitor progress towards learning goals or for grades.
Benchmark assessments are used to evaluate students against specific grade-level standards and learning goals, so that educators can adopt instructional approaches to meet student learning needs.
Summative assessments are used to evaluate learning progress and achievement at the conclusion of a specific instructional period.

Individual Student Report
Individual Student Reports are provided to families by your student's school roughly 2 weeks after the window closes for the entire school district. This gives a snapshot of how a student performed on the Mastery View Predictive Assessments (Benchmark Assessment). These assessments serve as benchmarks for all courses that participate in End-of-Grade or End-of-Course state assessments. The district uses these assessments to progress monitor student performance with grade level content and standards.
