We recognize that principals and assistant principals play critical roles in meeting our goals as a district. We look to them to design and lead schools that nurture innovation and entrepreneurship in our students so that they are prepared for the workforce of the future.
Whether you are an aspiring leader already working in 精东传媒, or considering a move to our district, we applaud your interest and look forward to working with you as you learn more about the process of becoming a school leader in 精东传媒.
The role of school leader is second only to teaching at 精东传媒, and the competencies, skills and beliefs of an "Equity-Centered Leader" are required Day 1 on the job and are critical to the long term success in the role. For that reason, our Principal and Assistant Principal Talent Pool processes were redesigned in fall 2022 to ensure we effectively identify candidates who evidence the qualities of an "Equity-Centered Leader".
A 精东传媒 Equity-Centered Leader fosters and sustains a learning-centered culture that understands, confronts, and interrupts practices that create and reproduce disparities to ensure student outcomes transcend demographics.
Leaders create structures, processes, and a results-oriented culture that confront and disrupt individual and systemic inequities, including systemic racism and bias, against marginalized students and their families.
Leaders ensure shared decision-making processes that result in the design and implementation of a collaborative vision and strategic goals grounded in multiple sources of data.
Leaders build and maintain a culture of continuous learning and improvement through instructional feedback, coaching, and professional development for all staff.
Leaders ensure all students are engaged in high quality learning through the use of culturally responsive and rigorous standards-aligned curriculum and content.
Leaders commit to personal growth and reflection and model a belief system grounded in equitable and anti-racist practice.
Leaders work within the larger district and community context as an agent of change to assist in identifying and disrupting systems that detract from equitable outcomes.
Leaders engage in recruiting, hiring, on-boarding, selection, and retention practices that result in equitable student access to highly effective and diverse teaching staff.
Leaders allocate and utilize resources that promote equity and access for all students.
