    SCHOOL UNIFORM COMPLIANCE:

It is the expectation of the Huntingtowne Farms Elementary School family that all scholars will adhere to our school-wide uniform policy. It is further understood that parents will have been made fully aware of the expectations of school uniforms when enrolling their children in our school.

Parents are ultimately responsible for ensuring that their child has appropriate school attire in alignment with the Huntingtowne Farms Elementary School Uniform ¾«¶«´«Ã½.

Our first priorities each and every day are to make sure that our scholars are safe and to ensure that they receive an excellent education without distractions or obstacles.

To that end, our goal is to have 100% participation  of all scholars with the school uniform policy. However, if and when scholars do not follow the school uniform policy, the following actions will be taken to support our scholars and families in joining our unified vision of excellence:

    SCHOOL UNIFORM NON-COMPLIANCE:

    First Offense

    • Warning/Uniform
      • Violation Letter sent to parent(s) to notify parent(s) of uniform non-compliance

    Second Offense

    • Parent Phone Call
      • Parent(s) will be asked to bring a uniform.

    Third Offense

    • Parent Conference with Administration
      • Parent(s) will be asked to attend a Parent Conference to discuss uniform non-compliance.

    Repeat Offenses

    • Parent Phone Call
      • Parent(s) will be contacted and/or disciplinary consequences will be given.

*Hardship situations will be supported through our school counselor and administrator. Our Student Services Team will support our school uniform policy by advocating to community partners for donations and support in order that we may maintain a uniform closet in the case of emergencies. Our Student Services Team will help to educate parents about our school wide uniform policy to support our comprehensive school vision and provide them with community resources for buying/securing uniforms.

*Explicit insubordination (outside of hardship) will receive appropriate disciplinary consequences assigned by the intervening administrator.

DRESS DOWN FRIDAYS

  • What should my child wear when they dress down?

This year we're expanding options for students. Instead of wearing jeans and a uniform shirt, they may wear an APPROPRIATE outfit of their choice (e.g., no pajamas, no costumes unless it's a theme day).
We're counting on students and caregivers to dress appropriately so we can keep this privilege.

How do I pay for my student to dress down on Friday?
The easiest way to pay is online where you can buy a pack of 10 passes ($10) or an annual pass for $30.
      • 10 passes:
      • 30 passes:
      • Online passes must be purchased by 9/9.
      • If you don’t buy a pass online, you can send $1 cash with your student each Friday they dress down. Students should give their $1 to their home room teacher. Their teacher will place one of their extra stickers on your student.
How will teachers and administrators know I paid for my student to dress down?
      • Students who buy online passes will receive special stickers in their take-home folders
      • Each Friday they dress down, put a sticker on their shirt in the morning.
      • Students who bring $1 cash will be given a sticker by their teacher.
      • Students who dress down but do not have a sticker will be out of compliance with the school’s uniform policy.
What if I miss the chance to buy passes online?
If you don't purchase a 10-pack or annual pass online by 9/9, you can still send $1 in with your student each Friday, they dress down. Cash-less online passes will be available for purchase again in January.

Reminder: HFES Spirit Wear is approved as part of the daily uniform.  our new, comfortable offerings by 9/10 when the store closes!
