What is the 精东传媒 attendance policy?
High school students absent from eleven class periods will receive a grade of F for that particular course. This rule applies to all absences, whether excused or unexcused.
What is the difference between an excused and an unexcused absence?
- Absences for reasons listed below are considered excused and are to be coded as an excused absence from school:
- Illness or injury of the student
- Death in the immediate family
- Quarantine
- Medical/Dental appointment
- Religious observances
- Educational opportunity
- Local school board policy
- Child care (for student’s child)
- Absence related to deployment activities
- Court or administrative proceedings
- Absences for reasons listed below and for any other absences not listed above are unexcused and are to be coded as an unexcused absence from school:
- Bad weather
- Missing the bus
- Car trouble
- Oversleeping
- Lack of heat, water or electricity
- Shopping
- Baby sitting
- Lack of clothing or shoes
- Any other reasons deemed as unexcused by administration
Will I be notified when I have reached my 10 days?
Yes, attendance letters will be sent out once your student has reached 3 days, again at 6 days, and finally on the 10th day.
What should I submit if I am absent from school?
It is the responsibility of parents to notify the school when their child is absent from school and to inform the principal or other designated staff person of the reason for the absence.
Do my absences start over each quarter?
No, absences start over for semester classes at the beginning of the semester. Absences continue to accumulate for A/B classes throughout the year.
