Opened in August 2010, William Amos Hough High School is a comprehensive high school serving the Lake Norman towns of Huntersville, Cornelius, and Davidson. Hough High School enrolls over 2,500 students from diverse backgrounds in grades 9 through 12. It is one of over 30 high schools in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School district. Hough High School is recognized as one of the top 10% of schools nationally.
Faculty & Staff
Students at Hough High School are served by a highly motivated and dedicated faculty and staff. Just over half of the faculty has earned a master's or doctorate degree and 22 of our staff have earned National Board Certification.

Our student body of over 2,500 students is composed of students identifying as 65% White, 15% Hispanic, 11% Black/African American, 5% Asian, and 4% Multi-Racial. Our student body represents a wide range of backgrounds from socio-economic, religious, cultural, and political viewpoints.
