Revocation of Magnet Assignment

** More than 4 unexcused absences, late arrivals, early dismissals, or late pickups per quarter will be considered excessive and may jeopardize your magnet seat.

In January 2010, the School Board passed ¾«¶«´«Ã½ JCA, Section VII: Guidelines for Revoking Assignments to Schools other than the Home School. It reads in part:

“A student may be reassigned to his or her home school if the student: has an excessive number of absences, late arrivals, early dismissals, and/or is not transported from campus in a timely manner after the end of the school day or after-school activity.”
